Robin's Kitchen
A roadside stand with the best jerk chicken (or fish) you've ever had in your life! We love Robin's chicken. Chef John Harvey is a man of many talents; he also painted our entire unit at MiraMar Villas! He and his son serve up the best chicken, coconut beans and rice, and coleslaw (with homemade sauce)!
Juvinies' Cevicheria + Sports BAr
Our first stop on the island is to immediately buy ceviche at Juvinie's! You can get it to go or eat at the bar. Try the conch, lobster or mixed ceviche.
Victoria House
A special place for us, Victoria House was one of the original resorts on the island and offers a wonderful dining experience. Take your fresh catch or check out the changing daily menu. The Admiral Beach Bar is also a fun spot at Victoria House for grabbing a drink. If you have a sweet tooth - there's nothing better on the island than the chocolate lava cake here!
Pupuseria Salvadoreno
Pupusas made street-side, and when it's lobster season, the lobster burrito is a MUST have! Cash only at this downtown San Pedro restaurant.
The truck Stop
Made out of shipping containers, The Truck Stop just north of "the cut" has food and drink options for everyone, plus live music, dive-in-movies, and something for everyone. This is also a great place to watch sports on giant projector screens and televisions. Check out the back bar!
PAlapa bar
Original over-the-water Palapa Bar in downtown San Pedro has all the favorites: great food, fun drinks, local live music, and a swimming area. This is a San Pedro classic and a must-visit location.
Someplace South Cafe Bar
Our local restaurant and bar near MiraMar Villas has amazing food, live music, and an incredible dining area. Featuring 2 for 1 mimosas (of all kinds) and specialty dining menus, this is one of our absolute favorites. While seasonal, the lobster benedict is unforgettable!
Pur Boutique Cabanas
North of the bridge, this adults only bar and restaurant has a swim up bar area, amazing margaritas and lobster burritos (seasonal).
Island Wonder Beach
Just north of MiraMar (less than .5 miles), this fun spot has a walk-in beach, games and volleyball, large menu, and floats in the sea. If you are looking for more of a "wade in beach" area, this is a great spot for that.
NERI's Tacos
Easy, delicious and cheap tacos, fry jacks, and the best empanadas ever at the walk-up Neri's taco stand just off back street (lagoon side) in downtown San Pedro. Cash only. This has a new location and is popular with locals.
Black Orchid
Located right by MiraMar Villas, this high-end restaurant is beautiful and delicious. In addition to the menu, Black Orchid will prepare your fresh catch of the day if you've been out fishing. Black Orchid also has a great bar area and please try the creamy shrimp dip!
Caribbean beach bar
A new favorite of ours. The bar at Caribbean Villas has local flair and music, a large menu, and it's located right by the big Belize sign on the beach.

Lady Leslie Catamaran cruise
The Lady Leslie is a fun catamaran that you can rent to do either day snorkeling and boating cruises or evening sunset cruise outings. We love Captain Leslie and his wife and son - they have made so many trips special for our guests over the years.
SNorkel shark ray alley
This marine reserve is a truly unforgettable experience! Harmless nurse sharks (no hinged jaw, they can't bite) and rays are in abundance in this marine life coral park. It's truly an unforgettable experience. www.captainjody.com can arrange your snorkel day for you.
secret beach day trip
It can take up to 60 minutes to get north of the cut (by another 11 miles) via golf cart, but Secret Beach on the lagoon side of the island is truly worth the drive! In addition to bars, restaurants and fun, there is a kids "water park" of giant inflatables up at Secret Beach.
